good day, kinda

well lets see. its been a little hectic around here, the girls getting used to having 2 dogs and such. still, its going well, and winston seems really happy.

but on a more serious note, work is going ok. finally got things rolling on the termihaters, and they are almost done (it took FAR too long).

client has more work, so we are doing another pick up on saturday. currently have the termihaters and a fist full of ork charactors (like 7). so soon there will be more, which is good. orks are easy. have to finish up the bikers tonight, and from there i can work on rebuilding my kroot, which i finally decided what to do with them.

other than that...i've just been busy running around. i'll post some pics of the termihaters soon (hoping the damned camera will work. i think i got it this time, not sure though).

Working on Fluff

Well now that i've gotten the awkwardness of the first post done, i can get into the meat and potatoes of the blog.

well, i ran into another brick wall with the termihaters today. i don't know what they were primed in but man i can't get paint to stick right now. i do have another idea, so hope is not lost yet.

anyways, i've been moving forward on writing fluff for my eldar (as i stated previously i'm burned out on painting lots of grey, red, and metal, hence why i'm working on the eldar). i am looking back on my notes from the last few days, and am pleased so far with the idea of them being based on a recently discovered black stone fortress. 

beyond that, i've reveiwed what i had last night, and realized the army is at 2500 points, with lots of room to grow. i'm thinking of buying something from forgeworld when the oppurtunity presents itself, most likely the AA tank the eldar have, as i love turning those guns on mass infantry. 

other wise, i think i've got the avatar finished, and am probably going to start painting on my eldar soon enough. almost got the docking port working, so i should be able to post pictures again by the end of the week. i wish i know what the wife did to it though, it would probably make it easier to fix. anyskull though, whats done is done, and i've almost got it all working.

been doing some research lately into resin casting conversion kits for 40k and possibly fantasy. you know, fun things like different weapons, shoulder pads, etc. for conversions. i would love some feedback on this. anyways, i need to get back to work, post more soon.

First time out

Well now...this is something i haven't done in a long time. its actually kind of refreshing. anyskull, i plan on putting up any plans for the studio, or any news about the girls or my lives. so i guess i'll get too it.

still working on those irratating space hulk models. can't get the paint to stick to them. and when it does, it obliterates the detail, well at least on the termihaters. still, other wise things are ok on that front.

currently working on an eldar army in my own personal projects (i'm so tired of painting red and grey, and metal), as i figured the different colors would be a nice change. that and i had to do a number of models recently for a guy that were eldar, and god i miss them. its going to be nice to paint lots of blues and pinks.

recently had a deal fall through on doing a guys hordes and warmachine models. would have been nice, but shit happens no? beyond that, things are going ok.

the girls are in good health, as is the dog, frog, rats, slug and snail. been watching way too many movies the last few days, but its so bright out its hard to go outside, ya know? um...lets see...i think thats about all on my life.

So...eldar...well currently i've finished up the third uni of dire avengers, and am trying to figure out a way to convert my dark elf shades into rangers/pathfinders without extensive sculpting. convereted one of the cauldron of blood witch elves to be my far seer (the one with the chalice), and am debating converting the witch elves any (they are my storm guardians). the avatar needs some work, but i don't know what to do with him. want to do something cool to make the tanks all pop, but again unsure as to what, probably going to have to be done with painting. 

finally got the camera working right, so i should be able to post some new pictures up on the facebook page. anyways, i'm going  to go watch another movie while i wait for the shakes to calm down.
